Well, the new Pokemon game for the DS is coming out here next month, and I really wanna play it. It'll remind me of the silver/gold version i remember playing when i was younger, which were my favourite.
While looking through my game collection yesterday, I found my old Pokemon red and blue, from when they were first released over here. So to get into the spirit, i decided to make a stamp!
Enjoy, for all those that remember playing the originals as well!!

Done in Photoshop CS3

I still have Blue, but because I have no working Gameboys, and my DS doesn't support models before Advance, it's kind of a relic ATM ^^;

Whoa oh cool. I still have the old Red and Yellow version for them, and regardless they're still awesome to play.
Sadly I don't have the 2nd gen games anymore, but it's a relieve for we can play em online.

I still have Red, Yellow, Silver, Gold, Crystal, and the Pokemon Trading Card game. :)
Sadly, some of them don't work anymore. My favorite ones are the ones that don't work. ;^;

I have the older games too, they were always my favourite, they had something that just couldn't be beat by new generations.

The first and second generations were the best IMO. And they do have a charm about them that the new games can't beat. Maybe it's the simplicity of the graphics, Pokemon, or the game in general.

:iconfinallyplz: I play my Pokemon Silver (NOT soulsilver) every freakin' day. I LOVE it.

And blue was my very first pokemon game, I had some epic pokemon on it, but I set down my gameboy with it outside one day to pet my cat, and... forgot about it. :noes: It got stolen. But I got a red to replace it! Not as good, but I have had fun! I mostly love performing the glitches on those old games. Did you know it's possible (and easy) to get a mew on Blue/Red/Yellow? Awww, the memories.

That's awesome!! My DS doesn't have the GBA port in it sadly, so I can't play any of the older games :( But i played the Red version for so long when I still had a gameboy. I lent it to a friend, and never saw it again lol.
I heard there was a way to get Mew easily, but couldn't do it.

You have to be at the beginning of the game, right when you reach Cerulean. :)

Ah yes, I remember the whole pokemon craze of the 90s. I was a part of it. :3 And now, I'm a semester away from my Associate's Degree in Digital Media in college, and I still love pokemon. All the things you loved to do in elementary school become as much fun (and more so) when you're in college. XD

Ha, I have my old Blue version right here on the desk next to me. Still works fine, too. It was my sister's game; she got it when I was a baby(when it was first released), and she told me she'd always play it with me watching her. So even before I could play it, it was there. After my sister decided "Pokemon was childish and lame", she gave it to me. I've kept it ever since : )

Ahhh, memories. Love to Pokemon, and not just Gen 1, ALL generations <3
